Week 39 Update

Yesterday was 39 weeks. I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has flown by! It seems like yesterday Brian and I found out we were pregnant. I guess time does fly when you're having fun. I have loved being pregant, but am definately ready for it to be over and to have my little boy. I can't wait to meet him!

Brian and I had a fabulous, lazy weekend together. We went to see movie on Friday night that I had been dying to see. We knew that we better see it now b/c it would be a while before we could go back to the movies. I took 2 pillows to prop behind me and was good to go :) It rained Saturday and Sunday so we just chilled at home; walked around Sam's, Marshalls, the grocery store, etc; and watched TV at home. Brian cooked up all sorts of stuff for us to eat next week- sausage balls, baked grits, burgers, etc. He even made a birthday cake for Will :) We even have a zero candle for it :) It's really cute. He's been great and we really enjoyed spending non-stressful time together this weekend.

I just got back from the doctor and we are set to be induced tomorrow morning :) We are not going in tonight for the balloon procedure. I'm glad...one less thing to deal with. So next time I post I'll be a mommy!! Love to all and keep us in your prayers.

Print for the Nursery

I have been looking and looking for what I wanted to go over the changing table in the nursery. Mom found this print yesterday and it's perfect. I bought it today and can't wait for it to get in so we can get it framed and up. The colors are perfect and it fits so well. Brian likes it too :) Brian wears a white hat like this when he plays and has golf shoes like this so it's perfect. The print is by Barbara Shipman and is called "Daddy's Caddie." Anyways...was excited and just wanted to share :)

Week 38 Update

Had my 38 week visit today. I am now 2 cm dialated, but my cervix is still hard. I have another appt next Monday to check progress and am scheduled to be induced at 6:00 am next Tuesday (May 19th) if Will doesn't come before then. Dr. Stone said he may have me come in on Monday night if things haven't progressed enough for some balloon procedure to get me going. I am not going to google it. I think it's best for me to not know all the details and just go with the flow. If you really know me you'll understand that this is probably best :) I am so excited and can't wait. I'm ready for Will to be here. I have been daydreaming about holding our baby all day. I can't believe it will only be 6 days at the latest! I have been doing all the things you hear about to get this baby out of here (walking, raspberry tea, etc ) and will continue to do so- so maybe he'll come before Tuesday. We'll see ;) Please pray that Will is still healthy and that we have a smooth delivery, pray for my patience and strength, and pray for Brian. Through everything we have been through that has REALLY stressed me out or been hard for me to handle he has been my rock. He brings this calm to me that is hard to explain. Pray that this continues when I go into labor :) And also pray for us as a family- with all the changes to come- for patience, love, and support for each other. Thanks so much everyone! WE ARE SOO EXCITED :)

Week 37 Update

Well- I went back to the doctor this week and there was a little progress... so that's good. Let's pray that everything keeps moving along smoothly and that William will be here soon. We are SO ready! I'm trying not to be too anxious because most of all I want him to be healthy, but I'm ready for him to be here. I've enjoyed being pregnant and have been blessed with a wonderful pregnancy, but I'm ready to me a mom now. I think it's like the end of a long trip- the last 5 minutes are the worst...it's so hard not to speed because you're just ready to get to the destination. That's how I feel now! Plus- I'm just ready to hold my sweet little boy and not have to pee every 2 seconds :) My strep B test came back positive so they will have to put me on antibiotics during labor. Hopefully, the meds will work and it will be no big deal. Also pray that I have an uneventful labor- I really hope there is no drama there :) Hopefully the next time I post Will will be here :) If not- I'll try to keep everyone updated with anything else that goes on.
